Before diving into the core modules of this course, we will first reintroduce ourselves and refresh on some key concepts introduced in the introductory course. These concepts are crucial to remember in garnering a holistic understanding of medicolegal occupational therapy.
In Module 1 we will delve into some of the most important considerations in medicolegal work, assisting you to adopt the mindset of a medicolegal occupational therapist, providing you with practical skills and principles to apply in your own medicolegal assessments and reporting.
In Module 2 we will take an in-depth approach to medicolegal assessments, including learning how to interpret a Letter of Instruction (referral letter from a solicitor) and determine assessment requirements, how to review a brief of evidence, and the best-practice approach to each component of the medicolegal assessment.
In Module 3 we will delve into medicolegal opinion formulation, ensuring core medicolegal concepts are applied and your reports meet the requirements of every case.
In this final section of the course, after checking you have completed all neccessary quizzes and practicums to receive your Certificate of Completion, we discuss the next steps in your medicolegal career, and opportunities now available to you as a graduate of the Advanced Course.
